Keith Mollard, financial director of A&M Insulation Ltd based in Rainford, St Helens, has been elected as chair of the National Insulation Association’s (NIA) North West and North Wales Forum.

The NIA is a non-profit making professional body representing over 90% of the UK’s insulation industry; and Mollard will be involved in promoting professionalism of its members in the North West and North Wales.

Mollard has worked in the insulation industry since 1972 and, in that time, he has served around 20 years on the NIA Council. He has also been involved in consolidating various insulation representative bodies under the umbrella of the NIA. Mollard has been regularly involved with the development of energy and carbon saving strategies between the industry and government departments.

The local forums are a relatively new innovation of the NIA and having been involved in the North West Forum since its formation. Mollard commented: “I am really enthusiastic to develop and increase the involvement of local companies to the levels attained by the other forums. We can achieve this by becoming more focused on industry issues and inviting guest representatives of various bodies to discuss these and answer questions from members.”
