The Road to Zero Carbon
Ecos is running ‘The Road to Zero Carbon’, a conference on low and zero carbon building, on Tuesday 15th June in Reading.
The conference, which previously ran last February, is taking place in Reading Town Hall. It runs 9.30am – 4.30pm and places can be booked online at the Ecos Trust website (www.ecostrust.org.uk). Places are £180 plus vat.
The Road to Zero Carbon will show how the UK is beginning to meet national targets for low and zero carbon building. Key speakers include Bill Dunster, architect of the UK’s first zero carbon Code for Sustainable Homes Level 6 development, Neil Jefferson, chief executive of the Zero Carbon Hub, and Charlie Luxton, architectural designer and broadcaster.
The day will also bring to life current low and zero-carbon projects, with a strong focus on the steps and measures taken to achieve reductions in CO2 and the impact it has on the construction process.
Delegates will be provided with the opportunity to learn from those at the leading edge of compliance with the fast-approaching standard, such as Marks and Spencer, the Schools Zero Carbon Taskforce, Atkins and the ZED Factory.
