Sherwood Cleaning Group has worked with Leicester County Council for over 12 years and has been awarded a five year ‘multi service’ contract encompassing cleaning, waste management and security. The new contract will see Sherwood manage over 250 buildings going forward, including schools, libraries and council offices.

LCC made the decision to look at asset management and multi service provision throughout the authority. The indications were that considerable savings, in the areas of administration, management and purchase supply, could be made with a ‘multi service’ approach.

The award to Sherwood was based on a 60% price and 40% quality ratio. This was to ensure that value for money was achieved without reduction in standards of service.
An integral part of the contract is the development of an in-house audit system that collates FM contractual data. All service users, the client and Sherwood can access information on all areas of contract delivery.
